Reviews
Positive Reviews
- “Great solar installer. Action Solar did a great job on installing our tracker system. They did many extra little things to make the process go smoothly.”
- “Honest and Professional. Very professional crew.”
- “While the majority of Action Solar reviews are positive, a small fraction of customers have reported some concerns. These include occasional delays in the installation process and challenges with customer service responsiveness. Additionally, a few clients mentioned difficulties with contract management.”
Negative Reviews
- “No after-install support. The up front process with Action Solar was good. They made it easy from the start until Installation. Then it gets bad. After a little while getting used to the app and the info from my solar gateway, I discovered my “consumption” numbers were way off. I emailed multiple times to have someone take a look, but was ghosted. I even went directly to the website and tried to get someone to contact me there, but no one would return any correspondence. That left me to try and figure it out myself. What I discovered was one of the consumption transformers was damaged during installation. I had to purchase a new one with my own money, install it, and go through Enphase directly to make it work because Action Solar would not return a phone call or email. Be advised, you will get no after-install support.”
- “I contracted with Action Solar in April to install solar panels in my house. Every step of the process has gone wrong and Action Solar has done very little to address the issues. First, the engineering study they did on my home was incorrect. The solar array they quoted me, and we contracted did not fit on my house. I was pressured into making a split second decision on a new design. I now have solar panels on my garage which I had expressed to the salesman we wanted to avoid. They also neglected to identify that my main panel would need to be moved from my back yard to the front of my house. I had no idea what the electrical panel would look like until it was physically mounted to my house. Again, this is a design that I would not have agreed to during contracting. When they trenched my yard to move my panel they neglected to call blue stakes. As a result they broke my gas line. This was done while my children were home alone. The manner in which they got my kids out of the house was less than desirable. The hole that was left by the removal of my panel on the back of my house was not properly repaired. They packed the hole with silicone and left it. My yard has still not been repaired after a month and the back of my house has not been resolved.”
- “While the majority of Action Solar reviews are positive, a small fraction of customers have reported some concerns. These include occasional delays in the installation process and challenges with customer service responsiveness. Additionally, a few clients mentioned difficulties with contract management.”

Payment & Financing Options
Solar Loans: Solar loans are a common financing option for homeowners who want to go solar. These are usually provided by banks, credit unions, and online lenders. The loan amounts typically range from $1,000 to $100,000, and annual percentage rates are 6% to 36%. Solar loans work like installment loans.
Leases and Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs): In a lease or PPA, a third party owns the solar system and you pay for the solar power it produces. Unlike most systems, PPAs dictate that you must pay for the energy produced by your solar system until the PPA expires. However, the rate you normally pay for solar electricity is usually less than what you would pay without solar.
