My fiancé and I hired these guys a while back and they are completely USELESS. It is SO incredibly HARD and RIDICULOUS to get any type of service from this solar company. We do not feel valued as their customers.
It has now been 3 years since our 8 kw system was installed by Solfarm solar. It has worked flawlessly and our power bill has all but disappeared. We had a great experience with Solfarm and highly recommend them. Everyone from Kelly , Cameron, business office, to the install crew were very helpful and knowledgeable. Keep up the great work!!
We interviewed several companies before deciding on SolFarm and they were the only ones that didn’t play games with us on pricing. The workers were respectful and pleasant and did a very clean installation. They didn’t promise that our configuration would cover all of our energy needs, but it has actually worked out that way – underpromised and overdelivered…

Kelly from SolFarm designed the perfect system for my homestead and he helped me understand and maximize the Duke solar rebate program which resulted in over $9,000 in cash rebates on top of the federal tax incentive. The crew did a great job installing the system and correcting any punch list items.
Our solar is up and running and we are so thrilled!! No more Duke Energy bills! Our Solfarm team included Nick, Mike, Shawn and Pepe. They all were outstanding from start to finish! They were the third bid we took and obviously the most professional and truly local company that we talked to. They led us through the rebate process that went through without a hitch, they handled all interfaces with Duke and even installed two NEST thermostats for us for free. We cannot say enough good things about these kind, honest hardworking guys! They know solar and they are based in Asheville and will service our unit on a very long warranty! We’re only a couple of months into our solar experience, but we have been very pleased so far. The entire Solfarm team is very knowledgeable and good about following up and answering questions. From our initial conversations about system function and design, working with us to create the best possible system for us and a wonderful installation to helping us with all our early questions about the live experience- understanding the meter, the online monitoring app, and walking us through the Duke rebate program, it’s been a great experience. We have full confidence in Solfarm and the technology that they have installed.
Solfarm was excellent and efficient from start to finish! They did everything they said they would and were very responsive. They also got the job done very promptly and helped me apply for the Duke rebate. Plus, they are way more affordable than any other quote I got. I would recommend them to anyone who is environmentally and economically conscious.
Sol Farm wired my new construction home to my specifications and passed all inspections first try. When I recently had an electrical Issue (not caused by them but by a faulty part) they came out very quickly and made sure it was fixed. Their guys were awesome to work with and communicated well.

HIghly recommended. I received complete proposals from three qualified companies including SolFarm. They were responsive and helpful throughout the entire process and worked closely with me as I chose to modify some aspects of the project. The couple of times that problems occurred they took care of them quickly and courteously. I would definitely use them again.

We had Solfarm install a 5.8KW system on our house in Charlotte in May. The whole experience was great. We got a clear, detailed, proposal that fully explained what we were getting (and why!). The install crew was professional (and friendly) and did a great job — clean and careful. And finally they’ve been great on follow up since the install — linking our system to the internet and helping navigate the solar rebate (yeah!). I’d highly recommend this outfit, you won’t go wrong.
Had my solar arrays on the roof since May and continue to be very happy with everything surrounding the project. When we started on the journey I was about to pull the trigger with another company when my wife heard of Solfarm. It was painless to set up the initial appointment and within a couple of days someone came over to the house for an on-site assessment. The visit didn’t just include measuring everything but also a detailed explanation of available technologies, warranties, how things work with the power company etc. There was no sales and marketing fluff and no pressure. A couple of days later we had a quote which was better than the one I was previously ready to commit too, thus this was a no brainer. When it came time to put everything on the roof and connect the array the team at Solfarm was very flexible in working with my schedule. All team members were very friendly and Solfarm showed up as promised to get the installation done. Solfarm handled all permitting and setting up the inspection. Further, after the contract was signed and everything was on order a higher rated panel from the same company that was in the agreement became available and Solfarm ordered the higher rated panel without impact to the cost.
